Philosophy
Each and every one of us is unique. There never has been, nor will there ever be, another person in this world exactly like you. I therefore believe that you deserve a portrait whose look, feel and pose are designed specifically for you.
Photography is literally about painting with light. Light has many different faces, different textures, tonalities and moods.
Getting to know you, and asking you a a few questions before our session together, helps me to choose from the infinite number of possibilities of lighting and posing you that are available to me. It helps me zero in on a look and feel for a portrait that reflects your unique personality and allows your natural self to easily emerge.
I shoot everything from formal studio type portraits to relaxed candids shot in your own home. I do this digitally in both studio or natural light, depending upon the look we wish to create for you. My portable equipment allows a great deal of flexibility in where and when we shoot.
For those who are interested in such things, I’m a Nikon guy. That said, the camera, like a piano, is only a tool. It’s the experience, knowledge and dedication I bring to the camera that creates memorable images.
